54th Kouhaku ( News and more )

Finally, the moment arrived! Yes, gocchin performed at the 54th Kouhaku today. It was an awesome performance, nothing less of which you will to expect from gocchin! I am so proud of her! ^^ The song she performed was Anri's Olivia no kiki nagara, the song that she was assigned to sing in her Morning Musume audition, back then on 1999.7.24. The song was really a good choice, cuz it does indeed showcase her growth and improvement over the four and half years. I am so touched, since I've been following her career since her debut back then in 1999. T_T This is indeed a special day for gocchin as well as her fans. A day not to be forgotten.

Haro Moni New Year SP ( News and more )

This week's Haro Moni will be a 1 hour New Year Special and it will be on air on Saturday 2003.1.3 at the same time slot (rather than the usual Sunday time slot).

Gocchin and Ayaya will be joining Momusu as special guests. According to the CM preview, gocchin will be doing Love Machine! ^^ Do remember to catch it!!

Hello! Project Sports Festival ( News and more )

Part of the Hello! Project Sports Festival was aired on Fuji TV today. Did you tuned in to catch the action? It was quite a show, but I think the many injuires in the Tokyo Dome leg really left me feeling upset. Hopefully, UFA will review the situation and make appropriate changes for the next festival.



Gocchin took part in less events in the return Tokyo leg, and she is still awesome in the short distant sprint, and her box jump was so perfect!!! It was a shame she missed at the 11th one. T_T Still given her condition that day (still not fully fit from the Osaka leg), it was good enough. The full footage will be release in the format of a FC only DVD, which I will be trying to get hold of. Keep fingers crossed. ^^

Kouhaku Update ( Schedule )

「オリビアをききながら」

Yes, the song has been decided. A little suprise. Gocchin is not going to sing any of her own songs, instead, she will be doing an old song 「オリビアをききながら」. Sounds familiar, yes you are right. Gocchin sang this song in her Momusu audition back then in 1999. This is the song that Tsunku assigned to her then.

I was a little disappointed when I saw the news, Gocchin not singing her own songs on her debut on Kouhaku, but then I immediately feel that choosing this song has deep profound meanings to it. Anyway, it's a lovely song, and I look forward to hearing Gocchin's delivery. She can definitely do a good job. :)

Remember to tune in on 2003.12.31 to NKH Kouhaku if you have access to the channel.

2ペイント イット ゴールド (2 Paint It Gold)

I love the title, it's so much more creative than "Double Maki". "2" is To, which reads "To Paint it Gold", put it this way, when gocchin first started, she is a piece of plain white paper, over the year, the colors were added along the way, but ultimately she wants to shine, so to paint it gold, this was a friend's (also fellow ardent goochin fan)interpretation. I could not agree more with that. Looking forward to see the finalize tracklist, the rumoured tracklist looks very good, keeping fingers crossed.
